WIMBERLEY, Texas — Emergency officials are responding to an active wildfire near Wimberley.

The Hays County Office of Emergency Management reported the 5-acre fire near Longhorn Trail just before 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Details on how the fire started, but officials are asking the public to avoid the area. According to the Texas A&M Forest Service, the fire is 0% contained.

If evacuation notices are necessary, they’ll be sent out through Warn Central Texas.
