KYLE, Texas — A driver was injured after mistakenly driving into a restaurant in Kyle on Tuesday.
According to a spokesperson for the city, the woman driving accidentally pressed the gas pedal instead of the brake, driving into the Koy Chinese restaurant at 5695 Kyle Parkway.
Kyle police were already in the area and arrived on the scene shortly after, the spokesperson said.
The driver was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
As of Tuesday evening, the restaurant said its dining room is closed, but it is offering takeout and delivery services.
