Amazon customers are buzzing about the Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve Single Malt Scotch Whisky, which is now available at a decent discount.

Distilled in the heart of Speyside, this award-winning whisky boasts a smooth, creamy finish with notes of zesty orange, pear, and toffee apples. Shoppers can now get it for for just £30.99, a 22% drop from its usual price of £39.50.

Matured in both traditional and American first-fill oak casks, the Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve blends delicate flavours with fruity tones and a touch of sweetness, making it a perfect choice for sipping neat or in cocktails like a Hot Toddy or The Last King.

The whisky has won several accolades, including a Silver Award at the 2022 International Spirits Competition and the International Wine and Spirits Competition. With a near-perfect 4.8-star rating from over 10,000 reviews, it’s clear that customers are impressed. In fact, more than 8,500 five-star reviews highlight its quality, with just one percent of reviews under three stars, Express reports.

One satisfied customer shared: “I’ve had several bottles of this over the last few years in my malt whisky journey.

“I keep a bottle on the shelf as it’s reliable, gentle and flavoursome. It has the flavours of yellow fruits with an oaky element. It has none of the sharp or sour tastes that can be found in many young whiskies and the alcohol kick is well controlled.

“It is a great value malt to keep as an introduction to malt whisky for visitors that fancy trying for the first time.”

Another said: “I really like this. It’s very smooth with a very light smoky flavour that comes through after you’ve swallowed. It’s light in colour and smells divine. There are lots of different hints of taste and they’re all lovely. It’s slightly milder than my current favourite, a Jura, and I think I’ll buy more of this Glenlivet Reserve.”

A third whisky fan said: “The Founder’s Reserve is the most dependable whiskey you can possibly buy. It’s drinkable, with a smokey twist (probably the fact it is from Speyside). It’s fairly versatile and cheap. This is even great in cocktails.”

While many Amazon customers are singing the praises of the Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve, not everyone is a fan. One reviewer described it as “functioning ok as a cooking whisky,” but claimed it tasted like “lightly wooded water.” On the other hand, a five-star review simply read: “Didn’t last long, need to buy another.”

If you’re on the hunt for more whisky deals, Amazon has also slashed the price of Tamnavulin Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky to £21.98, down from £32.
