A teen was slashed in the face on an Upper East Side subway platform Wednesday, police said.
The 17-year-old victim was arguing with an 18-year-old adversary in the 96th St. station just after 3:25 p.m., cops said.
As the argument spiraled out of control, the older teen took out a knife and slashed the victim across the left side of his face. He was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.
The slasher hopped on a downtown Q train and was later taken into custody at the Times Square-42 St. station, cops said.
Charges against him were pending later Wednesday night.
