ROUND ROCK, Texas — Don’t be alarmed if you see an increased presence of troopers and helicopters in the Round Rock area on Thursday.
The Round Rock Police Department said at least two Texas Department of Public Safety helicopters and some DPS trooper staff will conduct training exercises throughout the day.
Police said the helicopters will fly over the Round Rock Amp live music venue near I-35 while also operating over the Round Rock Public Safety Training Center.
Police want to warn the public that this is just a scheduled training exercise and not law enforcement activity.
Meanwhile, Round Rock police won’t be involved. Anyone with questions should reach out to Texas DPS.
