EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE/Gray News) – Authorities in Indiana said two people have been arrested after 40 pounds of methamphetamine were found at a local mail facility.

According to the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office, the drugs were found in two suspicious packages addressed to a location of Ridgeway Avenue in Evansville.

Officials said they kept watch at the location and noticed two people take the packages before returning to a white van.

Authorities said the two were identified as 46-year-old Natasha Garner and 36-year-old Goldie Rodney Junior Flenor.

When officials tried to stop them, they said the two suspects sped off before their van hit the front of a Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s SUV.

The sheriff’s office said a federal complaint was filed against Garner and Flenor for conspiracy to distribute meth. They were both taken to the Henderson Detention Center in Kentucky.
