GILES COUNTY, Va. – According to the Virginia State Police, a Princeton, WV woman perished in a car accident that took place in Giles County, VA.
A press release from the VSP says that a 2024 Kia Sorento was heading westbound on Route 460, a half-mile east of State Line Road, when the Sorrento went off of the right side of the road, struck an embankment, and overturned.
The driver of the vehicle, 76 year old Sandra Preservanti of Princeton, died at the scene. She was wearing a seatbelt.
A passenger in the vehicle, 74 year old Richard Preservanti, suffered serious injuries. He was also wearing a seatbelt.
The crash remains under investigation.
