BLUEFIELD, W.Va. – The Mercer County Schools’ Social Studies Fair took place today at the Brushfork Armory.

Rows of projects filled the room as students accepted awards for their hard work and achievement. The Pre-K and Elementary Supervisor for Mercer County Schools, Amber Riffe, said that 143 projects were displayed from 16 different schools. She explained that this event was a great opportunity to highlight what Mercer County schools can achieve.

“I think when we do events like this, it really showcases that Mercer County Schools is top-notch and it’s something to be proud of to be a part of Mercer County Public Schools,” said Riffe.
