(CNN) – Two United States Army soldiers and a former soldier were arrested Thursday and are accused of selling military secrets to China.
According to the Department of Justice, the two U.S. Army active-duty soldiers are stationed in Washington state.
An indictment filed Wednesday says Jian Zhao managed over $55 million worth of Army property. He is accused of selling nearly two dozen classified hard drives marked “secret” or “top secret” as well as sensitive U.S. military documents and information about high mobility artillery rocket systems to buyers in China.
A separate indictment says Ruoyo Duan and former soldier Li Tian conspired together to steal and transmit sensitive military information on the U.S. Army’s operational capabilities, including technical manuals.
All three men are charged with conspiring to commit bribery and theft of government property.
