(InvestigateTV) — The dangers of extreme heat include dehydration, heat stroke, hospitalization and even death. Employees at work in extreme temperatures face these risks daily.

InvestigateTV+ found more people are dying in recent years from the effects of scorching temperatures.

The latest available numbers from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services show more than 2,000 heat-related deaths in 2023. And, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, there were 55 workplace deaths caused by heat exposure in 2023, up from 43 in 2022.
