HOUSTON — Court documents have uncovered new details about a woman charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of her boyfriend.
It happened at a Montrose-area home on West Alabama Street near Mandell Street.
Sandra Rios, 53, is charged with murder after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend, Sammy Marks, 71, at his home. He was transported to the hospital, where he later died.
Rios was found walking down the street and arrested a short time later.
“They were together, they were hanging out and they got into an argument over the female being too loud when she was making some food,” Lt. Willkens with HPD said.
Marks, a psychic, used his home as his business. Police say they’ve been called to the location multiple times for domestic disturbance calls.
According to court records, Rios was not supposed to have contact with Marks and had already violated her bond conditions when she allegedly stabbed him.
“They have a dating relationship. she comes and goes, and we don’t think she lives here full time, but she does come and go from the location,” Willkens said.
Back in January, Rios was arrested and charged with aggravated assault of a family member when she threatened to kill Marks with a pair of scissors, according to court documents.
Rios was supposed to show up for drug and alcohol testing last month to comply with her bond conditions, but court records show she never did.
She was booked into the Harris County jail and is scheduled to appear in court Monday morning.
