PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. (Gray News) – A woman was charged with the murder of her 3-month-old daughter, according to police in Florida.

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home in December for a report of an unresponsive 3-month-old baby.
Paramedics also responded and took the child to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
Detectives learned the child suffered from multiple brain bleeds and a large skull fracture, according to authorities. The medical examiner ruled the baby’s cause of death to be blunt head trauma.
On Thursday, the baby’s mother, 26-year-old Tess Britt, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. She is in the Pinellas County Jail.
