Infowars host Alex Jones said one of his reporters was “brutally murdered” over the weekend.

The right-wing host identified the staffer as Jamie White, who according to Jones, was slain outside his Austin, Texas apartment late Sunday.

Austin detectives said officers responded to a 911 call shortly before midnight Monday and found an adult male with “obvious signs of trauma.”

Officers treated the victim on the scene before bringing him to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries early Monday. Cops didn’t identify him by name. What happened to the victim wasn’t immediately clear. Media website Mediaite.com identified him as White.

According to Jones, White had been in the InfoWars office working late Sunday, and co-workers worried when they couldn’t reach him by phone Monday morning.

“We pledge that Jamie’s tragic death will not be in vain, and those responsible for this senseless violence will be brought to justice,” Jones wrote on the Infowars website.

Jones recorded a video blaming liberal politicians and activists for violent crime and called White Infowars’ “best writer.”

Stories White wrote for the site include a Jan. 8 piece titled “COVER UP? UK Parliament VOTES DOWN National Inquiry Into Muslim Rape Gangs.”

Jones and his Infowars media empire were ordered to pay $1.3 billion to the families of Sandy Hook Elementary Schools the 51-year-old pundit accused of faking that incident to muster support for gun control legislation. The parent company of satirical newspaper The Onion bought Infowars through a bankruptcy auction in November, but a Texas judge nixed that deal in December, citing a lack of transparency.
