LOS ANGELES, Cali. (Gray News) – Lifetime has announced a new series featuring Dr. Sandra Lee, the dermatologist more commonly known as Dr. Pimple Popper.
In the new series, “Dr. Pimple Popper: Breaking Out,” Lee will welcome a group of proteges into the operating room with her to pass on her unique knowledge and skill set.
The series will also provide an intimate glimpse into Lee’s personal life, with self-shot footage capturing her world outside of the office.
“I cannot wait to share with the Lifetime audience the transformations of some of my patients and their journey before, during, and after their procedures,” Lee said in a statement. “Additionally, I can’t wait for people to meet some of the new doctors who will be joining me as we help people throughout this season.”
Lee, a board-certified dermatologist based in Southern California, became a global sensation in 2015 when she began sharing dermatology content online as Dr. Pimple Popper.
What started as an educational window into her world soon became a viral phenomenon, with millions of viewers fascinated by her work treating cysts, lipomas, keloids and other dermatological conditions.
Now, Lee is ready to take her practice to the next level. The doctor has made modern additions to her main office which include an entire new wing of patient rooms, and many new staff and doctors.
“Dr. Pimple Popper: Breaking Out” will premiere Monday, April 21 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, following new episodes of “Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up.”
