Barack and Michelle Obama are reportedly in talks to produce Amazon’s upcoming biopic about Tiger Woods.

“King Richard” director Reinaldo Marcus Green is set to direct the film, based on former Golf Magazine editor-in-chief Kevin Cook’s book, “The Tiger Slam: The Inside Story of the Greatest Golf Ever Played,” which hit shelves in December.

According to Deadline, the drama is expected to take audiences through the golf phenom’s early days and through his storied career, including the Tiger Slam, when Woods made history by winning four consecutive Major championships from 2000 to 2001.

Woods’ personal life in more recent years will reportedly not take center stage in the film, which the former president and first lady’s Higher Ground is in talks to produce with “Goodfellas” and “Rocky” producer Irwin Winkler.

Winkler, a four-time Oscar nominee, has also produced all three “Creed” installments and is producing the upcoming fourth chapter.

Much like Winkler, director Green is no stranger to making a sports film as acclaimed as its subject. His 2021 drama, “King Richard,” centered on Serena and Venus Williams’ childhood coaching by their father, played by Will Smith in his first Oscar-winning role.
