CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO/Gray News) – Four young people were killed in a “very violent, very high speed” crash in a stolen car in Cleveland, Ohio early Wednesday morning, police said.
Police said all four were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified the victims as:
- Caurie Williams, 19
- Kalise McGee, 14
- Tamera Davis, 14
- Eddy Deandre Bonner, 18
Bonner was the driver, according to the medical examiner.
The crash happened around 12:45 a.m. on Wednesday. Police said neighbors called 911 after hearing the crash and seeing the bodies.
According to Cleveland Police Chief Dorothy Annie Todd, the victims were traveling in a Hyundai Sonata that was reported stolen on Feb. 27.
Todd said city cameras captured the stolen car being driven around various areas Tuesday evening.
The driver, Bonner, was northbound on West 106th Street when he lost control, went off the road and crashed into two trees.
A neighbor shared video with WOIO, showing the vehicle speeding down the road just before the crash.
According to Cleveland EMS, the vehicle was “obliterated.” The three passengers were ejected from the vehicle, but the driver was not.
