
KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A jury returned a verdict on Friday in the trial against a man charged in the death’s of his girlfriend’s mother and teenage brother.
The jury returned the verdict around 4 p.m. on Friday.
Markus Guy was found guilty beyond reasonable doubt of first-degree murder in the death of Koda Jarrett, 14, and guilty of the use and presentment of a firearm during the commission of a first-degree murder of Koda Jarrett.
Guy was also found guilty of second-degree murder in connection with the death of Brooke Carnefix but not guilty of the use and presentment of a firearm during the commission of a first-degree murder of Alicia Carnefix

Both victims, Brooke Carnefix and her 14-year-old son Koda Jarrett, suffered multiple gunshot wounds while inside their home in St. Albans.
