How nice would it be to never again feel that creeping fear, queuing to board a flight, that your cabin bag might actually be the wrong size? It’s a horrible feeling, dreading getting a fine at the gate, but one shoppers can avoid by snapping up the right bag.
Amazon is selling the Flight Knight Ryanair Cabin Bag for £49.99. The 4.2 starred bit of luggage is the perfect size – 40x20x25cm – to slide under an airplane seat, and has been designed specifically for Ryanair flights, but should fit the small carry-on dimensions demanded by most airlines.
It comes with a hardshell that’s scratch resistant and in multiple colours, including rose gold, burgundy and charcoal. With four wheels, travellers should be able to glide it around easily, and it has a telescopic handle to boot, so no hunching over while dragging it along. It’s petite, but for a couple of nights away, or for children, it should do the job.

Antler has a chic underseat bag option – the Soft Stripe Underseat which comes in indigo, black and green. It’s 45 x 35 x 20cm, but is more expensive, costing £104 (down from £130). Alternatively, for shoppers that do need a bit more space when packing, try the ‘Eagles Cabin Suitcase 55 x 37 x 20 cm Soft Shell Luggage Suitable for Easyjet, Ryanair, Jet 2 Paid Carry On’ from Debenhams. It’s £74.99 and would need to go in the overhead cabin, rather than under a seat, so travellers would need to pay more in baggage fees in advance.
One happy customer who bought the Flight Knight Cabin Bag said: “Very easy to move about both to pull and push. Amazing how much it actually takes for such a small case.”

A second raved: “Not going to lie, laughed when it arrived and saw how small it was! However, that said, it fits in so much and is so easy to manoeuvre/carry around! A few people commented on it and did pass the Ryanair hand luggage size as was asked to put it in rack to check. Even staff member seemed surprised when it fitted. Definitely worth purchasing in my opinion.”
Another said: “This is a great little bag. I couldn’t believe how much I could get in it. Enough clothes for 3 days, including a pair of boots and slippers. Very sturdy, a 5-year guarantee, well worth the money!”
However, one flagged the locking mechanism: “I’d say the only flaw to this product is the lock provided. It says that a ‘3-digit combination lock’ is provided that’s ‘secure for safe travel’, but it literally looks like all the other locks that come with suitcases. It’s just underwhelming because it feels so light and easily breakable.”
Another added: “The handle seems a little flimsy but it’s strong enough for a case this size, and the case is really nice and lightweight.”
