Food and drink enthusiasts, mark your calendars! One of the country’s largest free food festivals is returning in just a month’s time.
Loch Lomond Springfest will take place on April 5 and 6, offering a fantastic line-up of food and drink producers, as well as entertainment for children, all set against the stunning backdrop of Loch Lomond Shores.
The festival will run from 10am to 5pm each day, ensuring a full day of activities and attractions for visitors of all ages.
For aspiring chefs, there’s a treat in store as talented chef Suki Pantal makes her Springfest debut. The acclaimed author and chef will share her passion for Indian cuisine with festival-goers, offering free cooking demonstrations at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm on Saturday.

On Sunday, Rohan Wadke, a chef from Cameron House who appeared on Masterchef 2016, will take the stage for his inventive free demonstrations at 11am and 3pm, bringing fresh culinary inspiration to the event.
Springfest is not just for food lovers – there’s plenty of fun for children too. Verity, the silt-walking and bubble-making chef, will be wowing young audiences on Saturday between 11am and 3pm with her unique performances.

Sunday promises to bring a bit of Broadway magic, with Elphaba and Glinda from Wicked taking the stage between 12pm and 3pm. Throughout both days, there will also be children’s rides and face painters, adding to the festival’s family-friendly vibe.
For those who enjoy a cocktail (or prefer a mocktail), La Masa, Glasgow, will host a masterclass on both days, showcasing their talented mixologists. The 11am sessions, focused on mocktail-making, are perfect for anyone aged 12 and over, as long as they’re supervised by a responsible adult.
The 1pm and 3pm sessions will feature cocktail-making for adults aged 18 and over. The mocktail sessions are priced at £5, while the cocktail sessions are £10. A limited number of tickets are available online here.
For those with a keen interest in foraging, Sharon Kerrigan will lead small groups on a foraging workshop, sharing her extensive knowledge of what to pick in the wild.
The foraging workshops will run daily at 10:30am, 12pm, 1:30pm, and 4pm. Tickets for these sessions are available on Eventbrite, offering a unique opportunity to learn from expert forager Sharon Kerrigan.
Adding to the lively atmosphere, Lomond Radio will be playing tunes throughout the weekend, and talented buskers will be performing, ensuring there’s always music in the air.
For food lovers, Springfest is a treat, with an impressive range of street food and local producers. This year, the award-winning Great British Cheese Company will be showcasing their finest cheeses, while Istanbul Kitchen will serve up delicious food and footlong kebabs.
Jinger Drinks will also be on hand, offering their organic, vegan ginger and turmeric concentrated beverages.
In addition, La Masa will provide a selection of draught beer, cider, frozen margaritas, vodka, rum, and whisky, making sure there’s something to quench every thirst.
