The well-equipped pods come with a private bathroom, cooking facilities such as a hob and microwave, a fridge, and soft beds. Other amenities include a 32-inch television, Wi-Fi, and complimentary Spotify access.
Another highlight of the pods is that they feature barbecue facilities and fire pits, while s’more kits are also available to order. With spring just beginning, there is plenty of opportunity for evenings spent eating outside while watching the stars.
Due to North Point Pods’ location at the very northern tip of the Scottish mainland, the aurora borealis is more regularly visible there compared to other parts of Scotland and the UK.

The owners thoughtfully inform guests if the Northern Lights are likely to be visible while they are staying at the pods.
North Point Pods has earned mostly very positive feedback from past visitors. On Google, the accommodation has an average rating of 4.7 out of five based on 67 reviews.
One guest shared: “The pods have everything you need, we ordered the breakfast pack which was amazing, the bed was super comfy and everything worked as it should. We were there with friends who had the other pod the kids played in the grounds which are secure, we had s’mores by the fire, sat and watched the Northern Lights.”
A second echoed: “A lovely little pod, compact as expected yet surprisingly well equipped, warm and comfy. The place is wonderfully peaceful and quiet, the outside space is really enjoyable for chilling and sharing a BBQ.
“It is also very well located, easy to find and to park. Special mention to the host which is very attentive and helpful. We will definitely come back again if we have the chance!”
A third Google review reads: “Had a fantastic stay at the weekend as part of the north coast 500 road trip. Absolutely perfect place to stop between Thurso & John O’Groats. Comfortable, electricity and Wi-Fi for the night’s entertainment. Would stay again in a heartbeat.”

On the other hand, a three-star review states: “Arrived late at night, easy clear instructions. Bedding had human hair, we really didn’t want to stay but, as it was so late, we had no choice.
“Other than the bedding everything else was pretty good! For us, bedding is the most important element of any accommodation, hence the rating.”
