BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) – Backlash is continuing after Governor Patrick Morrisey held a press conference Monday regarding the WVU men’s basketball team’s exclusion from the NCAA tournament.
On First Take Tuesday morning, sports analyst Stephen A. Smith called Governor Patrick Morrisey “childish.”
Despite agreeing with West Virginia governor Patrick Morrisey’s “valid” complaints over WVU’s omission, Smith called his news conference “embarrassing” and told him to “sit your a– down.”
“You would like to think our elected officials have something better to do with their time on behalf of their constituency than something of this magnitude. Clearly, he does not. It’s utterly ridiculous for him to take this position that he’s taken,” Smith said in an interview.
