(CNN) – A rare celestial event is underway.
From now through Friday, the planet Venus will be visible in both the morning and evening skies above the Northern Hemisphere.
This happens a few days before the planet passes between the Earth and the sun and it won’t happen again until 2033.
You’ll find Venus slightly above the sun after sunset and before sunrise. You won’t need any special equipment to see it.
Venus will be very bright because of its closer proximity to the sun.
However, if the sun is still in the sky, you may need to protect your eyes.
