A man was fatally shot in his Bronx home Thursday, with his cousin taken into custody for the disturbing slaying, a family member told the Daily News.
Gunfire rang out inside the house of Xavier Goodson, 32, on the corner of E. 231st St. and Laconia Ave. in Laconia around 4:05 p.m., cops said.
About six people, believed to be teenagers, fled the house and ran into the nearby Edenwald Houses, according to police sources.
When cops arrived on the scene, they discovered Goodson suffering from a gunshot wound to his head and abdomen. Medics rushed him to Jacobi Medical Center, but he could not be saved.

The victim’s cousin was later taken into custody, according to the victim’s uncle. Charges were not immediately filed.
“I just can’t get my head around it,” said the uncle, Altonio Reid, 58. “I’ve known that boy since he was a baby. I watched him grow up. I changed that boy’s diapers.”
The ex-Marine remembered his nephew as a “a good kid.”
“He came to visit his mother all the time,” said Reid. “He was on the right path. He was doing well, he looked good and he wasn’t doing anything stupid.”
