BEE CAVE, Texas — A gas line break in Bee Cave has created heavy traffic delays.
Lake Travis Fire Rescue said it was responding to a 6-inch line break at Bee Cave Parkway near FM 620.
The break forced officials to shut down traffic on Bee Cave Parkway in both directions as crews work to mitigate the incident. Officials also said the gas company was en route to the area.
While the gas line break has created a strong odor in the area, officials said the wind has helped disperse the gas. Crews are also monitoring the air quality and have not detected any hazardous levels.
