PRINCETON, W. Va. -Kids got a taste of the royal life in a fantasy setting, thanks to a Princeton DIY studio. Princeton’s Hammer and Stain hold tea parties from time to time, but this is the first time one they’ve held with a classic princess theme.
Their “Fairy Tale Tea Party” let guests eat some tea party snacks, dress up as their favorite princesses, and even do a princesses-themed craft. Sarah Cecil, the owner of Princeton’s Hammer and Stain, says they had a great turnout, with many kids dressing up as their favorite princess characters to make believe, something she says is the goal here.
“Since Elizabeth was little, I’ve always had tea parties for her. She’s always had fun with them, so I thought we would share this with other kids…” says Cecil, “…I feel like it makes it so magical for them. Kids love to dress up and, and I think this gives them a great reason to dress up and just to have fun playing make believe.”
Cecil says they do plan to hold this Fairy Tale Tea Party again and have other fairy-themed events planned as well. You can keep up to date on what all is coming up there by following them on Facebook or going to their website to sign up for updates.
