“Return of the Mack” singer Mark Morrison is returning to court after an arrest for battery in Florida over the weekend.
The British R&B star was detained by authorities following an altercation at a Palm Beach restaurant on Saturday, TMZ reports.
According to a probable cause affidavit from Palm Beach Police, eyewitnesses claim Morrison shoved the Le Bar à Vin‘s manager, Nicola Lavacca, twice after becoming frustrated over an event he had started planning with the venue the day before.
He was released early Sunday morning on $1,000 bond with an arraignment date set for April 15 at the Palm Beach County Courthouse in West Palm Beach.

The 52-year-old, known for the mid-1990s international club hits “Crazy,” “Let’s Get Down” and “Return of the Mack,” is no stranger to legal infractions — and even serving time behind bars.
At the height of his career, he was sentenced to a three-month jail sentence after being convicted in 1997 for attempting to bring a stun gun aboard an aircraft.
Morrison reportedly got the book thrown at him a year later going to Barbados and missing a court appearance for charges related to possessing an offensive weapon — a charge he was later cleared on.
After later being sentenced to community service for his involvement in a brawl that resulted in one fatality, it was revealed that Morrison allegedly had a lookalike, Gabriel Mafereka, perform his court-ordered service for him while away on tour
While imprisoned for evading the law, the West Germany native reportedly converted to Islam and attempted to change his name to Abdul Rahman.
