If you’re looking to bag a smart watch without the price-tag, then it’s worth taking advantage of Amazon’s Spring Sale.
The online retailer’s highly anticipated Spring Deal Days officially went live this morning, with a huge selection of discounts available until Monday, March 31. To save you some time, you can keep up to date with our Live Blog here.
However, if there’s one deal that I would recommend as a shopping expert, then it is the 20 percent discount on my Ruimen Smart Watch. It’s not just me that’s a fan, as thousands of other shoppers say it is “as good as” Apple and Samsung.

Despite the high praise, it doesn’t come with a matching price-tag, as it was originally already inexpensive at just £29.99. Nevertheless, you can save yourself a bit extra pennies, as the Spring Sale has reduced it to just £23.99.
As someone who wasn’t up to date with the tech gadget, I purchased this “bargain” smartwatch at the end of last year after reading that it was a good option for beginners. In fact, I loved it that much that I have worn it pretty much “everyday” since I bought it.

With a range of functions and an impressive battery life, I hailed the Ruimen Smart Watch as the “perfect modern day companion”. It also looks quite expensive thanks to its 1.85-inch TFT high-definition full touch screen, while the “buttery soft” leather strap is comfy to wear all day.
If you’re a fitness buff like me, then there are over 100 sports modes to choose from, allowing you to track your exercise both in and out the gym. It also offers a range of health insights that range from counting calories, sleep tracking and blood oxygen levels.
Health and wellness aside, it also helps to keep you up to date with general life with alerts for your messages, social media and phone calls. There’s also a selection of general functions such as an alarm clock, weather notifications and a stopwatch.
While I purchased the chic Starlight Gold colourway, which my mum recently mistook for an Apple Watch, there are a selection of others colours on offer. These include black, light purple, pink, purple, silver/blue and silver/grey.
I am not the only one impressed with the Ruimen Smart Watch, as I bought it after hearing that it had earned a 4.2 rating based on over 15,000 reviews that have praised it as “absolutely brilliant” and “just as good as” top brands such as Apple.
One five-star review read: “Absolutely brilliant watch. Just as good as an Apple Watch & for a fraction of the price well impressed.”
A second shopper gushed: “This watch is great it has all the functions of a quality smart watch at no where near the cost of certain top brands. Don’t pay for the name this watch is cheap but still top of the game. Bargain.”

As well as getting shoppers access Spring Deal Days deals that are exclusive to Prime members, there’s a host of advantages to Amazon Prime membership including next day delivery, free Deliveroo, music and books and Prime Video. Usually £8.99 a month, you can now get a 30 day free trial to get access to all this week’s sale deals.

AmazonAnd someone else wrote: “Great watch! Always had an apple watch but when it broke I purchased this to see the difference and how accurate it was and it’s just as good! I recommend this watch to everyone.”
While it is not something I have personally experienced, a few Amazon shoppers have said that they have experienced issues with the connectivity to the Smartwatch’s app. Some have said that it can often disconnect during the evening, disrupting the health tracking during the night.

Amazon isn’t the only retailer offering budget options, as I have also spotted the Samsung Galaxy Fit3 40mm Smart Watch for under £50 at Argos. Currys also has a selection of styles, with the REFLEX ACTIVE Series 23 Smart Watch priced at £49.99.
