PALM BEACH, Fla. (Gray News) – “Return of the Mack” singer Mark Morrison was arrested in Palm Beach, Florida.
Police say the 52-year-old got into a physical altercation with a bar manager Sunday night at Le Bar. A witness at the scene said Morrison was upset about allegedly not getting paid for an event.
According to the arrest report, Morrison pushed the restaurant manager twice before a witness separated the two men.
Morrison was arrested and charged with simple battery. He was taken to the Palm County Jail and later released on bond.
Morrison’s attorney said in a statement that the altercation over the entertainment fee escalated into a “racially charged confrontation.”
The attorney said Morrison is confident the facts surrounding the incident will vindicate him of wrongdoing.
