
SUMMERS COUNTY, W.Va. – A Summers County man faces numerous charges involving firearms and a domestic situation.
George Henry Mohr, 64, of Jumping Branch is behind bars after an incident Sunday evening and is charged with two counts of brandishing a deadly weapon, two counts of wanton endangerment involving a firearm, domestic battery and domestic assault.
According to the criminal complaint, deputies were dispatched to Paul Lowe Road after a call was received about a man chasing another man down the road with a shotgun and pistol.
The man being chased said he was visiting a friend, who was allegedly Mohr’s ex-girlfriend, when a man showed up with the guns and forced both victims inside the house. But the man escaped and fled down the road, followed by the accused.
Deputies also said in the complaint that while inside the woman’s house Mohr allegedly threw the woman on her bed and put the handgun to her head telling her she was going to meet “Jeremy,” her deceased husband
No one was injured and Mohr was found standing in a field holding a beer bottle. The complaint said Mohr told the deputies he had put the guns back inside his nearby camper, and the fully loaded firearms were found there.
Mohr is incarcerated at Southern Regional Jail on a $13,000 surety/cash bond.
