Over the past few years air fryers have become a staple of the kitchen. With their quick cooking speeds and functionality, the air fryer is the star of many dinner meals.
While some brands sell these nifty appliances for a hefty sum, Amazon has come along and slashed these prices as part of its weeklong Spring Deal Days sale. If you need to upgrade to a newer model, or are a first-time air fryer buyer, now is the best time to snap up a cracking deal for a machine you will use for years to come.
The Russell Hobbs XXL Family 8L Air Fryer is currently Amazon’s top choice for cooking, which usually retails for £159.99. However, after an amazing 56 per cent price cut, you can now buy it for less than half the price at only £69.99.

The eight-litre Russell Hobbs Air Fryer comes with 10 pre-set food programmes to meet all your cooking needs. This includes french fries, eggs, chicken, vegetable, air fry, bake, grill, dehydrate, frozen and reheat.
Whether you are cooking from scratch or re-heating a meal from earlier in the week, this air fryer can be used in all situations. The maximum temperature available that the Russell Hobbs Air Fryer circulates is 220 degrees and has a generous 8L capacity.
This means that the fryer can hold up to a maximum of 2.2kg of chips, and many shoppers have reported that they have been able to cook a full chicken with the machine.

The air fryer also comes with a shelf that you can place halfway up the draw to increase heat circulation. In comparison to a conventional oven, the Russell Hobbs Air Fryer saves up to 47 per cent on energy, making it the more efficient cooking appliance for your everyday meals.
Another air dryer in the Amazon sale is the Ninja Foodi MAX Dual Zone Air Fryer, which usually retails for £239.99. However, in the sale you can now grab it for £179.99. Alternatively, you can get the Philips Dual Basket Air Fryer for the slightly reduced price of £99.99 (RRP £108.91).
But if it’s the Russell Hobbs Air Fryer you’re after, then you aren’t alone. Amazon shoppers have awarded the air fryer a 4.6 star rating, with many raving about their latest cooking purchase.
One happy shopper said: “My first ever air fryer! I’ve been living in the dark ages for too long haha. Can’t believe how good they are! The offer on this at the moment is really good! So pleased I purchased this! I have nothing to complain about 10/10.”

Another shopper gushed: “Fantastic bit of kit. We had a small air fryer and upgraded to this one and couldn’t be happier. This thing easily cooks enough chips for a family of four. Easy to use touchscreen and pre-set functions. Such a good buy.”
A third shopper wrote: “I bought this for our caravan so wanted something that offered great value and wasn’t too big. We have a Ninja dual at home and I was interested to see how this one compared.
“I have been really pleased with it. It can fit a whole chicken easily, which it cooks to perfection and there is plenty of room to cook a family meal for four. It’s not too noisy, is really easy to clean and cooks everything quickly.”
While a further shopper commented: “Bought it on sale and I have to say, I use it every day! Food comes out perfect, mostly used for chicken, salmon and some pastries but have done veggies and chips and garlic in there and everything is great, will definitely buy another to make multiple things at once. Worth it, don’t hesitate, buy it.”

However, not everyone was as pleased with the reliability of the air fryer, as one shopper wrote: “It only cooks food on the middle shelf. Does not cook on the bottom shelf at all. If I put food on both shelves the food on the middle will come out cooked and the food on the shelf below will still be raw.”
Another had a different issue: “After two months the inner tray is not useable. The 6 Teflon type nodules around the tray which sit on the shelf part of the air fryer have split and broken and Russell Hobbs told me they don’t have replacement parts for this.”
