DALLAS (WFAA) – A woman and her friends traveled to Texas to celebrate before she got married. The trip was brought to a grinding halt when she was violently assaulted.

Twenty-seven-year-old Canada Rinaldi is now hoping to recover in time for her wedding after she was assaulted on her bachelorette trip.

“I just didn’t deserve it,” Rinaldi said. “Nobody does, but I didn’t either.”

The Oklahoma bride-to-be said she and her bridesmaids were leaving a club in east Dallas when a random man ran up and punched her in the face.

“It’s just shocking. It’s just hard to believe. It just feels like a lot of my experiences were taken away from me,” Rinaldi said.

Rinaldi was hit so hard, she was knocked unconscious and faceplanted into the pavement.

She broke her nose and three teeth and needed eight stitches.

Dash camera video from an Uber driver captured the aftermath. It also captured the moment her bridesmaid Kelly Peralta tried to push the suspect away before he punched her, too.

“It’s just so traumatic,” Peralta remarked.

Peralta started a fundraiser to help Rinaldi with all the money she now owes.

“The hospital bill, the ambulance bill, trying to get her teeth fixed in time for the wedding,” Peralta said.

That wedding is in four weeks.

“I feel like I’m not excited to plan my wedding anymore,” Rinaldi said.

Video also captured the moment the suspect ran away.

Rinaldi said she does have faith that Dallas police will find him and that she will be OK.

“I’m getting there. I’ll be OK, but it’s hard, but I’ll be OK,” Rinaldi said.

As of Tuesday, no arrests have been made.
