WYTHE COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – Two people were arrested in a drug bust, according to Wythe County Sheriff’s Office.

Wythe County Sheriff’s Office conducted Operation March Madness, executing two search warrants March 21 and March 22.

The first search warrant was executed March 21 on 625 Cassell Road in Wytheville, according to deputies. Deputies say they found over one pound (466 grams) of methamphetamine, 12 grams of cocaine, nine grams of fentanyl, eight schedule 2 pills, two sets of digital scales, cell phones, ledgers, numerous syringes, and drug paraphernalia.

Pamela Rena Dowdy was charged with the following,

  • Possession of over 100 grams of methamphetamine
  • Possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine
  • Possession with intent to deliver fentanyl
  • Possession with intent to deliver cocaine
  • Possession with intent to deliver Lortabs

The second search warrant was executed at 215 Dogwood Drive in Wytheville, according to deputies. Deputies say they found 19 grams of methamphetamine, two grams of cocaine, four schedule 2 pills, $601 in cash, baggies, scales, and drug paraphernalia.

James Edward Nelson was charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

Both suspects are in custody without bond.
