AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department (APD) is looking for a suspect accused of robbing a supermarket in North Austin earlier this month.
According to APD, the robbery occurred just after 2 p.m. at La Finca Supermercado on North Lamar Boulevard on March 16. The suspect allegedly brandished a knife at an employee and demanded money in Spanish before running off into a wooded area behind the store.
The suspect is described as:
- male in his mid-20s
- around 5’4”
- approximately 130 pounds
- thin build
- brown, shaggy hair
- believed to live nearby
He was last seen wearing:
- blue, long-sleeved SMU crewneck sweatshirt
- blue denim jeans
- armed with a knife
