LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ) – A daycare worker has been arrested as part of a child abuse investigation in Lynchburg, according to Lynchburg Police.
Police say March 21, 2025, Lynchburg Child Protective Services received an anonymous report of child abuse alleged to have occurred at Caterpillar Clubhouse on Leroy Bowen Drive.
March 27, after the police investigation, the Lynchburg Police Department obtained warrants for Shannon Inez Couch, 50 of Lynchburg, and an employee of Caterpillar Clubhouse. Couch surrendered, according to police, and has been charged with two counts of cruelty and injuries to children.
