SHADY SPRING, W.Va. – In a sectional championship rematch from 2024, the Shady Spring Lady Tigers hosted the Independence Lady Patriots Thursday night in Shady Spring.
The Independence bats came out swinging from the first inning, taking a early 2-0 lead.
With timely hitting, and great discipline at the plate, the Lady Tigers quickly clawed their way back into it within the next few innings.
However, by the time the top of the fourth rolled around, Independence was once again aggressive offensively, scoring five runs between the top of the fourth and fifth innings, lifting the Lady Patriots passed Shady Spring and staying unbeaten.
