(CNN) – The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall of more than 224,000 jewelry making kits.
The recall was announced because the kits contain liquid resin amounts above federal safety levels.
LaRose Industries is recalling the Cra-Z-Art Gemex/Gel2Gem jewelry kits.
They include 10 types of kits and a refill pack.
The kits were sold nationwide at stores and online.
Liquid resin can cause skin, eye and respiratory irritations when touched, ingested or inhaled.
There are no reports of injuries.
Those with the kits should not use them and contact the company for a refund.
Jewelry that has already been created should be inspected to see if it is fully cured.
The company said if there is liquid or liquid residue, the jewelry should not be worn and stored away from kids.
The resin no longer presents a danger once it’s cured.
