Vince Presley Job Ward, 21, is facing multiple charges, including Sexual Assault, Burglary of Residence and Robbery.

AUSTIN, Texas — A man has been arrested and charged for allegedly breaking into a victim’s North Austin home, sexually assaulting them and then stealing their wallet, phone and vehicle.

The Austin Police Department (APD) said the preliminary investigation revealed that on March 27 around 3 a.m., 21-year-old Vince Presley Job Ward entered the victim’s home in the 3200 block of Mossrock Drive while the victim slept, then committed the sexual assault. 

The victim managed to get away and sought help from their neighbors. Ward then allegedly stole the victim’s wallet, phone and vehicle.

Detectives with APD’s Sex Crimes Unit responded and processed the scene and, after an “extensive and rapid investigation,” Ward was arrested and booked into the Travis County Jail. He is charged with three counts of Sexual Assault, one count of Burglary of Residence (Intent to Commit Sexual Assault), one count of Robbery and one count of Burglary of Residence.

APD is asking anyone with any information about this incident to contact Capital Area Crime Stoppers online or by calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information that leads to an arrest.
