
HILLDALE, W.Va. – According to Summers County Sheriff Justin Faris, a man has been arrested for several charges after a domestic dispute that took place March 28.
Summers County Sheriff Deputies responded to a residence on Doug Craft Road in response to a man allegedly attempting to break into a residence.
When deputies arrived they found proof that “multiple rounds” had been fired through the front door of the home. The man, Norton Canterbury, was not on scene when police arrived and was later found in Forrest Hill.
Canterbury was charged with :
– Domestic Assault
– Wanton and Endangerment
– Firing a Firearm with 500 feet of a dwelling
– Obstructing
– Attempt to commit a felony
– Destruction of property
“A lot of incidents of this magnitude do not end peacefully we are very grateful that this one did,” said Sheriff Faris.
