The pedestrian who was hit was taken to a hospital, where he has since had multiple surgeries as a result of the crash.

AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department (APD) is searching for a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run that occurred in February in South Austin.

According to APD, officers responded to a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian near the intersection of South Lamar Boulevard and Hether Street on Feb. 8.

The driver of the vehicle left the scene without stopping to offer aid, nor call 911.

The pedestrian who was hit was taken to a hospital, where he has since had multiple surgeries as a result of the crash.

The vehicle is described as:

  • truck, possibly a Ford Chassis Cab
  • unknown year
  • two-door
  • white
  • black grille guard
