BECKLEY, W.Va. – According to Magistrate Court records, a Raleigh County man has been arrested for first degree sexual abuse.
The incident allegedly occurred on March 22, at that time a warrant was issued for the defendant Richard Savage.
Savage was issued a jail commitment order today. He is in Southern Regional Jail with a $10,000 bond.
He is charged with Sexual Abuse – 1st Degree – Forcible compulsion. In West Virginia, sexual abuse in the first degree means a person has subjected another person to sexual contact without their consent, often by force.
Savage is considered innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.
