The new movie will see Tom Holland’s Peter Parker deal with the aftermath of “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”

WASHINGTON — Peter Parker is getting a “fresh start” in the fourth installment of Marvel’s “Spider-Man” movies.

Tom Holland made a virtual appearance during Sony Pictures’ CinemaCon showcase in Las Vegas on Monday, where the film’s star casually revealed the movie’s official title.

“I am so sorry I can’t be with you,” Holland said in a video clip, as reported by multiple media outlets. “I know we left you with a massive cliffhanger at the end of ‘No Way Home,’ so ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is a fresh start. It is exactly that. That’s all I can say.”

The film will be directed by “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” director Destin Daniel Cretton and will deal with the aftermath of the third installment, where the universe forgot who Spider-Man and Peter Parker were.

Zendaya, who plays MJ, and Jacob Batalon, who plays Peter Parker’s best friend Ned, will also return in the fourth movie, Variety reports.

“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” will swing into theaters on July 31, 2026.

During the CinemaCon showcase on Monday, Sony Pictures also unveiled the cast for The Beatles biopics. The studio confirmed the long-rumored leads for each film  — Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr and Harris Dickinson as John Lennon.

CinemaCon draws thousands of movie theater employees from around the world each year, as all the major Hollywood studios make big presentations packed with film clips, trailers and stars to make the case that their upcoming slate will lure audiences to theaters.

Sony also brought out Oscar-winning filmmaker Danny Boyle to debut the new trailer for “28 Years Later,” his long-awaited zombie apocalypse sequel to “28 Days Later” hitting theaters in June, as well as the team behind “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse” to tease their third film in the Spider-Verse trilogy

The convention comes fresh off an Oscars rallying cry for seeing movies in theaters.
