A multi-film Beatles biopic, set to be directed by Sam Mendes, has officially found its four stars.
“The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event” will feature Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr and Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, Sony Pictures Entertainment confirmed. The intersecting movies — each focusing on a different member of the Fab Four — are slated to be released “in proximity” to each other in April 2028, according to Reuters.
Dickinson most recently appeared in the 2024 movie “Babygirl” alongside Nicole Kidman, and Mescal earned praise for his star turn in “Gladiator II.” Keoghan has stunned with performances in “Saltburn” and “the 2022 film “The Banshees of Inisherin” while Quinn shot to fame for his work as fan favorite Eddie Munson on “Stranger Things.”

Mendes discussed the massive project during an appearance at CinemaCon in Las Vegas this week, telling fans there’s still “plenty left to explore” when it comes to beloved band.
The Beatles changed my understanding of music,” he said. “I’ve been trying to make a movie about them for years.”
Described as the “first bingeable theatrical experience” by Sony executive Tom Rothman, the four feature-length movies are set to each focus on one member of the band, providing viewers a peek inside the unique perspective of each musician. It marks the first time Apple Corps Ltd. and the group have granted the rights to their life stories and music for the big screen.
