AUSTIN, Texas — Austin police are responding to an incident involving a person who has barricaded themselves in an area of southeast Austin.
According to law enforcement, the Austin Police Department (APD) SWAT team responded to a call around 8 a.m. on Wednesday at 5300 Jimmy Clay Dr., not far from Williamson Creek and the Jimmy Clay Golf Course.
Police did not provide any additional details, but drivers are asked to avoid the area at this time.
A media briefing will be held sometime on Wednesday with more information.
