CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Two more counties in West Virginia have been approved for federal assistance from February’s flooding, including Boone County, Gov. Patrick Morrisey said Tuesday.

Boone County has been approved for Public Assistance from FEMA, Morrisey said in a release.

“As southern West Virginia continues to recover from February’s flooding, we’re grateful to receive federal assistance in two additional counties,” he said in that release. “The Trump administration and FEMA have been supporting us every step of the way as we work to aid West Virginians in the recovery process.”

Altogether, Public Assistance has been approved in the following counties: Boone, Greenbrier, Lincoln, Logan, McDowell, Mercer, Mingo, Monroe, Raleigh, Summers, Wayne, and Wyoming.

Meanwhile, Individual Assistance has now been approved in the following counties: Logan, McDowell, Mercer, Mingo, Raleigh, Wayne, and Wyoming.
