WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (WKYT/Gray News) – A man in Kentucky is behind bars after police said he targeted people attending a funeral with threats.

Williamsburg Police said they were notified of a heavily armed man making threats towards people attending a funeral on Friday.

Police said 49-year-old Daniel Graiber traveled from Illinois to Williamsburg, Kentucky stopping at two gun stores on the way, where he attempted to buy a 100-count drum magazine.

Officials said Graiber then arrived at a funeral in Williamsburg, asking employees when family members would arrive at the visitation.

After being notified, police said they intervened and arrested Graiber.

Authorities said they discovered that Graiber told people he was a peace officer, worked for the CIA and was associated with the FBI and Kentucky State Police.

During the investigation, police said they discovered the following items:

  • Three handguns
  • Multiple gun magazines
  • Ammunition
  • One law enforcement-style tactical ballistic vest
  • Suspected Hydrocodone pill tablets
  • One Baton/Asp
  • One cellphone
  • Miscellaneous items/accessories associated with the investigation

Williamsburg Police and the FBI are investigating the case.
