BLUEFIELD, W.Va. – The HopeWords Writers’ Conference is making its return to the City of Bluefield this weekend.
The conference will be taking place from Friday at 4 p.m. to Saturday at 5 p.m. at The Granada Theater. The event features several Christian writers set to speak and tours of the area in collaboration with Visit Mercer County.
Travis Lowe, the host of the event, explained that a big part of the weekend is reviewing what Bluefield was, what it is, and what it could be.
“Well, I think it’s a time we get to kind of tell the story of Bluefield, and Bluefield has such a rich, storied past,” said Lowe.
Lowe added that if you have a Bluefield Virginia or West Virginia address when you register for the event, you will get $100 off the ticket price. He also told WVVA there may be a few extra seats on Friday.
