BLUEFIELD, Va. -The 51st Annual Coppinger Invitational Baseball Tournament started Friday night at Bowen Field.
The Coppinger Invitational is the longest continuously held Baseball Tournament in West Virginia, seeing teams from all over West Virginia and Virginia take home the hardware on Championship Saturday.
On Day One, teams from both sides of Virginia and West Virginia took the diamond.
Pikeview and Graham met up in the first game with the Panthers taking the win by a final score of 8 to 3.
Tazewell and Bluefield went at it in the nightcap, that one was all Tazewell, scoring eight runs in the first inning, then going on to score 12 more, winning via run rule 20 to 0 in three innings.
