SPRNGVILLE, Va. -Several motorcyclists from around the area spent this Saturday morning riding across Mercer and Tazewell counties for a good cause.

Clinch Valley Community Action as the sponsor of Camp Joy held a motorcycle ride fom Camp Joy over East River Mountain back to Tazewell then back to Camp Joy.

Each rider paid twenty-five dollars and passengers paid five dollars to take the ride that will go toward repairing two cabins on the Camp Joy grounds.

Camp Joy is a camp for underprivileged kids sponsored by Clinch Valley Community Action who provide several summer camps free of charge.

Organizer Liz Lester tells us that these riders are a blessing in helping make Camp Joy continue to serve the kids of our community.

The Appalachian Knights motorcycle club out of Richlands made a separate donation of one hundred dollars to the project.

If you would like more information on how to donate to the Camp Joy fund you can call Clinch valley Community Action in Tazewell.
