FAIRMONT, W.Va (WDTV) -Main Street Yoga of Fairmont and the Marion County Humane Society teamed up Saturday for an afternoon of kitten yoga.
Local yogis were treated to a one-hour beginner’s yoga session while six adoptable kittens joined them on the mat.
According to Main Street Yoga instructor Erin Hager, specialized classes like these are a great way to help out the shelter while teaching basic poses to newcomers.
“We partner with the Marion County Humane Society every other month offering kitten yoga here at Main Street Yoga. They get a portion of the fee for every class, and then the cats get to come and socialize, and everyone gets to enjoy being around the kittens, so it’s a win-win for everyone.”
