JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT/Gray News) – A suspect in Mississippi allegedly killed a man and then went next door and killed a woman after she refused to “hide him out” at her home.
According to Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade, the crime happened on McDowell Circle around 3:30 Sunday afternoon after a “disturbance” was reported at a home.
Police say that the alleged suspect, 36-year-old Jarvis Anderson, killed a man due to a “disagreement.”
Anderson then allegedly went to another home to hide out – but the homeowner refused.
When the female refused, he killed her as well, police said.
Two stolen vehicles have since been recovered by police at the scene, and he is in custody.
Anderson will be charged with double homicide.
